I hope everyone is having a good Labor Day weekend! Alan, Anna and I are alone again today because Lon had to work for the holiday rush at both jobs. Poor hubby, I love you strong man! Today we are trying to figure out a playdate with someone or maybe just Grandma and Uncle Kalvin. Who knows? Know how when I was pregnant I did the Pregnancy Post? Well starting today, every Saturday will be my Darling Dozen post, all about Anna's first twelve weeks of life week by week. They will be similar in some ways, but different in others. And definitely filled with lots of pictures of my little darling! :) I hope you tune in! Here's this week's Darling Dozen! Week: First Week Little tiny mittens on her hands! Weight: 6 pounds and 7 ounces Height: 20 and a half inches Developments: Anna is starting to "unfold" this week. She is getting used to nursing and sucking on her binky. In the past month, Lon and I have been dramatically changing our daily family life in preparation for Anna's arrival. This not only includes a drastic house design change but several major lifestyle changes for Alan. He has been very accepting to these somewhat stressful changes and actually done a fantastic job with them! We are just so proud of him, I am going to share with you all of his accomplishments! Good job, big boy! First, our household changes. We have opened up Alan's play area to encompass pretty much the whole living room, hallway and his bedroom. A lot of the baby fence has been taken down, giving Alan a much larger space to move and play in. We have set up all of Anna's stuff and leave it in his area now so that he gets used to it being around. More importantly than the household changes are Alan's changes in relation to preparing for preschool. He has now officially transitioned from toddler age to preschool age in our eyes, so a lot of these develo...

I am very proud to say, that I am hosted in this edition's Toddler Talk Thursdays! :D Thank you to Lolo and the girls of TTT for choosing my question. This week's topic: What is your toddler's bath time routine? Alan loves to take baths! Its one of his favorite things to do, hop in the tub and splash for a half an hour. :) Last year, we struggled with bathing him because of his fear of running water (faucets scare him lol, poor guy!) but this year he is a fish! Don't you love how that works??? Our bath time normally starts with Alan and I going into the bathroom and turning on the faucet, then having Alan throw all his bath toys into the tub. I try to have him be in the room with me while the tub is filling, so he continues to get used to the sound it makes. Then I put in his seat and he goes in after it. I use a cup to rinse his head, and always make it into a splashing game so he doesn't get scared. I wet his head and body and then lather on the shampo...
