Being Positive Through all the Hardships

Image
I cannot post about Color me Rad today, I have something much more important to post about. I apologize for anyone who was looking forward to it. The Color me Rad post will be on Thursday most likely. Keep an eye for it! Yesterday, we had court with our landlord. Since it is mostly said and done, I will share the basics with you all. I still do not want to share all the horrid details with you because I try so hard to keep this blog a positive forum for my family and my readers. But I am compelled to share the basics with you. We lost the case, our landlord had a lawyer and a good one too, probably very expensive. Even the judge wasn't pleased with outcome. We have to be completely out of the house by tomorrow at 5 pm. We also owe him a good sum of money apparently, which I don't agree with the most. This landlord, this man, put a young family of four out on the streets because he is stubborn and money greedy. We have no place to live now and have struggled almost all day y...

The Week the Women Went

Image
Today is a busy but uneventful day. I have several errands to run around town with the kiddos, Anna has another Lactation Consultant appointment, I plan on trying to take Alan to a park at some point, and I have to teach dance class tonight. I have been seeing my LC quite a bit this last few weeks, I will write a whole post detailing that later this week. Spoiler alert: I am now renting a hospital grade pump that I love!!!!!! But for today, I am going to post this review I did a while back and have been saving for a rainy day... Which is hilarious because it is sort of a rainy day today. :) So here you go, enjoy! Don't forget, only three more days until my blog's new change! Be sure to check it out!!! Have you seen this new show? Its on Lifetime and basically, I'm addicted to it! :) It just recently started and I think I may be hooked lol. Its based on the idea of "the grass is greener on the other side" but mostly that men would be nowhere without women and ...

Struggling...

Once again, it is very late while I type this. Or perhaps early because the beautiful sun is now coming up. But really, I hate that term or saying, whatever you would call it. I personally do not think its early until you have gone to bed and already woken up. If you have yet to go to sleep for the night, its late. So for Anna and I its late. In a half hour it will be early for Lon. Ugh, I don't even want to think about that. This post is me being honest to you, my fellow readers. I may have been posting alot lately, but I haven't been entirely honest with you. I have been struggling... for some time now. We have alot on our plate as a family right now. There has been quite a bit that I have not shared with you. I'm sorry. The gym Lon works for is reopening so there is the stress he brings home from that. Not to mention that his boss is his best friend, so I NEVER hear the end of it. I just started work again myself and am now leaving Anna for two and a half hours tw...

Stress comes in full

I haven't been posting like I should normally. I feel like I'm not posting enough. Even though I've only been missing around one post a week, I still feel like I am not adequately covering Alan's life. Lol, this is what happens when you're stressed and over thinking things. I'm worrying about a BLOG??? Really? I still apologize for not posting at all yesterday. Monday night and all of Tuesday were very hectic and stressful for me, in more ways than one. Monday night was really scary for us, Billings and Yellowstone County in general. There was a tornado, severe thunderstorm and flash flood warning placed on Yellowstone County. I got home from work and we had dinner. After dinner we were putting Alan in the tub, when I got a message from an old co-worker that in FIFTEEN MINUTES there would be a tornado on the rims. We live in a second-story apartment of an old building, where the basement is its own apartment. Thus, it was locked and we could not use it as sh...

Not feeling very happy today, I'll keep my post short...

I have had a very hectic and stressful day today, and don't feel like writing all that much. But then I remember what my therapist always used to tell me, writing is therapeutic. So I will do my best to get as much vented out as possible, without sounding too much like a whiner lol. I don't like to be negative but sometimes it is necessary. So please bear with me everyone. :) I was finally able to get my car from the mechanic's shop this morning. What a relief to have it back again! Snow has fallen and it would not be too much fun walking in this weather. But with the relief comes more financial stresses. As usual... :) We told the mechanic to only fix the mandatory thing, the brakes. And the mechanic followed my request, but had "bad news" for me. Grrrr. :\ According to him the power steering is leaking, my alignment is out, my oil is in desperate need of a change, and all four of my tires are bad. One I shouldn't even be driving on. He estimated the full c...

Daily stresses have become overwhelming, time to vent!

Today has been a day from hell for me. And now, all I want to do is snuggle in my bed with my sleeping boy and rant on this blog about it lol. So here we go... The morning started out alright. I woke up at a decent time and was able to spend some time with Alan, which was nice. But my boss called me and reminded me of my class time (which I was finally aware of) so that made me feel incompetent, especially since she knows my current situation. I got over it by the time I got to work and was in a positive move for my Parent/Toddler art class. Today we made leaf prints using crayons (a surprising success with toddlers lol) and then made a fall collage. I only had two children instead of my regular four, but it only made class easier on everyone.  Because the class was full of toddlers, it ended fifteen minutes early and I got a jump start on my cleaning. This made me happy, as Lon and I had a lot of plans in between my two shifts. We were planning on going to the bank, going to the...
