Superstar Students!!

Image
I just have to take a moment to say that I have THE BEST group of hip hop students ever! They rocked last night's dress rehearsal like it was no body's business! I am such a proud teacher right now! This recital will be so awesome! Shopping with Aunt Sam was quite a feat with Alan and Anna but we still managed to have a good time. And I spent my own money on my first piece of clothing since BEFORE I had my children lol. I felt really guilty about it at the time lol, but I had to get a nice dress or something to wear for the recital Saturday. I didn't have anything nice to wear except for skirts I have owned since highschool and I am honestly tired of matching them with one of my boring tops. I was excited to go shopping at Ross because I love their reduced prices and their clothing too! I found a very cute strapless top thats black with blues, reds and yellows. It fits my students' first dance costume soooooooooo perfectly! They are supposed to wear primary colors ...

Recital and Baby Shower Week!

Today is the big day for me! Well kinda lol, today is my dress rehearsal for the dance showcase this Saturday. My kids will be in full costume for their dances and I am excited to see how it all looks. I am very anxious but excited too! We will see how it goes! :) The kids and I are going shopping today with Aunt Sam. The kids are excited, we should have a lot of fun with her! I don't have any extra cash lol, but I might try to get Aunt Natalie her birthday present at some point. With her birthday coming up this weekend, I am running out of time to get her something lol. I also have to get Alan's glasses fixed. Crazy man has officially broken his glasses for the first time lol! :) Oh well, at least it was just one of the ear pieces. This morning, Anna surprised us all by pulling herself up on the ottomon! We had just had her standing up with us holding her for a bit, and Lon set her down on the floor to play while he got ready for work. Miss Anna army crawled over to the ott...

Dance Fever! Among Other Things

Currently, I am sitting here in the living room while everyone else sleeps. Pandora Radio plays quietly in the background and I am finishing the last of my Dove chocolates from Valentine's Day. Its so late, but I cannot seem to get to sleep. I figured if I am already awake, why not pump one more time for the night and finish this post?  I am so hyped today after talking to my director about my dance schedule and plans for this spring! I just thought I would share a little bit with you, my fantastic readers! We have a very busy next few months for dance. In March, we will be learning Michael Jackson's Thriller and preforming it, plus learning some break dancing. Then in April, we will be learning the showcase dance and preparing our costumes. The showcase is that last Saturday in April, a whole month earlier than I originally thought! I am super excited to start the showcase choreography! I have both the songs picked out already! For my 4-6 year olds: They will be per...

Top Two Songs on your Ipod!! Like The Undomestic Mama, I do not have a Ipod lol. :) I used to, my senior year of high school, but it was ruined in 2008 by a spiteful ex girlfriend of my current boyfriend at that time. So I will, like The Undomestic Mama, post my top two favorite songs (as of right now lol). #1 "Digital Love" by Daft Punk #2 "She Don't Use Jelly" by the Flaming Lips I've been viewing a lot of these and I think I'm also gonna post some runner up songs. Because I have so many songs and so many bands that I love, I can't not add a few more! :P Runner up #1 "Aeroplane" by Red Hot Chili Peppers Runner up #2 "Blood Red Summer" by Coheed and Cambria Runner up #3 "Dig" by Incubus Runner up #4 "Redemption Song" by the ever beloved Bob Marley <3 <3 <3

I apologize about being MIA... Again!

My family has just been struggling with some personal issues this past weekend. I won't go too deep into it, but for those of you who don't know, my husband has both Bipolar Mania and ADHD. I've recently decided to stop sharing our story with people (I was originally doing it for support and to make more awareness about Bipolar Mania), because it seems that even though I present them with all the correct information and am just asking for support, they just tell me that he's abusive and that I should leave him before Alan gets too old. What??? First thing, I will NEVER leave my husband alone, I've been his main pillar now for almost three years, and leaving him will just destroy him as a person. He is dependent on me for emotional support. Of course, I am always thinking of my and Alan's personal safety, but honestly? We are not in any danger. Lon has never directed any of his anger at Alan, and has never physically hurt me. We are safe, and anyways I'm more...

A super sneaky mama I am!

Sometimes when people ask me how many kids I have, I go with the cliche joke of most wives (MY MOM) and say, "I have two- my son and my husband." I often do feel like my husband is just another kid in the house- I have to drag him out of bed in the morning and yell at him to go to sleep at night, I have to remind him to do his "chores" around the house, I have to schedule all his appointments and remind him to go to them, I have to make sure he takes his medicine, and one of the most difficult I've found: I have to make sure he gets in his daily nutrients. This is particularly difficult because I have one of the most pickiest eaters ever! He doesn't like vegetables, most fruit, only really likes beef or chicken or pork, won't eat any leftovers (he thinks they're gross), and wants to survive only off of candy, pop and chips, etc. So I am always trying to find ways to slip in the nutrients he needs. For example, last night I made vegetable and meat spa...
