Our Family Vacation 2014: Day Four

Image
Next week is a wild week for me. Actually, if you really want to get technical, starting Saturday is just craziness for us… probably not slowing done at all until school starts up in September. Gah! Benton is still in town with us, Natalie has surgery tomorrow and will be heading to town Sunday most likely. Saturday Lon and I have the Train concert to go to, Sunday we will be headed to the fair with Aunt Natalie and Benton. Monday I start Cheer and Dance Camp, Tuesday and Thursday I have my gymnastics class showcases. So crazy! I may not post that much next week because of how busy we are, but stay tuned because I will do my best! As for our vacation, let's catch up on the last two days! Day Four: Enjoying Flathead Lake We were all exhausted from the big celebrations last night, so Sunday we had a calm day. We woke up late, had a breakfast of steak and eggs, and cleaned up camp some. Lon and I decided that we would be leaving that night for Butte, due to the car's problems...

My Birthday Celebrations

Image
So yesterday was my birthday. Isn't that so cool, that my mom had her first child the day before her birthday? Yeah we always thought so too lol. :P My friend and I at Relay this year, sorry I took no photos of my face on my actual bday lol I didn't do too much crazy things for my birthday, in fact when I told my friends at work my plans, they all teased me and said I sounded like their parents lol. I guess most people don't think 25 year olds want to take their kids to a water park and then go out to dinner with their husband for their birthday, partying and bar-crawling was the typical idea they had. But I am no typical lady. :) I had a good birthday too! I was able to see all of my favorite students at school, they sang to me twice there. I took my kids and my brother to an awesome place (even though we missed my bestie and her kiddos because we were too slow, boo), and then I got to spend some quality time with the man of my life. It was a perfect birthday, even ...

Sunday Photo Dump

Image
I have a handful, check that a stock of photos I haven't had the chance to post on here. They are all from pretty recent too. So I figured that I would post some of them today, since I don't have anything else to post lol. Be prepared, it will definitely be a photo dump! But its of my cute kids, so it shouldn't be too bad! Right? :P So a few weeks ago, we went to Alan's preschool class a little early. Which was awesome because it meant that he could play at Open Gym for a bit too! He just loved it! Here are some pictures that I never posted, for some weird reason. Both kids bouncing on the tramp at the same time! The last time Miss Anna got to wear this dress. Its too small now! Alan in the donut hole with all the bouncy balls lol! Now that the weather is nice, I have been taking the kids outside a lot more. They deserve to be out in the fresh air for at least an hour a day. They love it too! Especially Miss Anna, she loves that she can run around in th...

Preschool Christmas Partying

Image
Alan had his last preschool class of 2013 today. It was also their Christmas party, so Anna and I joined in on the festivities. We had a great time! Santa and Mrs. Claus came and gave out gifts, we made cottonball snowmen, Alan went swimming with his buddies and we had Christmas snacks! The perfect way to finish out the year for preschool! The students were so excited to see Santa and Mrs. Claus! Each kid received a stocking of goodies and a book from Santa, even Anna! She was too scared to get a photo with him this time though. Alan wasn't however, he was ready to say hi and get his gifts lol! I love his photo with Santa, so cute! Then the whole class sang "Jingle Bells" with Santa and Mrs. Claus before they left! So cute to hear a whole room of preschoolers singing their own version of the Christmas classic. I love it! They were about to go swimming in these pics, that's why half the class is in their suits lol. I had some friends and family on FB who were conf...

Happy Birthday Handsome Boy!

Image
Today is Alan's fourth birthday! Happy birthday handsome man! Mama, Daddy and Anna love you more then you will ever know! I hope your day is as amazing as you are! I know that I say this ALL the time but I am going to say it again, WHERE HAS ALL THIS TIME GONE?!?!?! Lol I can remember the day of his birth like it was yesterday! I woke up that morning still in heavy labor, thinking it was time to call into work (yes, I still planned on working my open shift for Chuck E Cheese up until that point lol). When I called, they told me that they had double scheduled me because it was my actual due date! I hadn't realized that until they had told me. Right then, I made myself a pact that 37 hours of labor was long enough and that I would HAVE this baby before the end of the day! :) I was right about that, but it took another whole twelve hours before he came! I was just about to give in and get the painkillers, I was so tired and crying about everything, when my OB came in and...

The Little Things

Image
Life has been hectic lately but good. Finances are still an issue, that will always be a problem in this world. :) We have been focusing on the positive and loving our family. The kids have been growing up in leaps and bounds lately! Anna is all about standing and she wants to walk soooooo bad. We are preparing for Alan's preschool, which starts a month from yesterday! He is so excited! Teething has been rough on this household this month. Anna has been teething pretty badly, she hates it so much! Her and I have lost sleep because of it, she wakes up every hour in the night and right at the crack of dawn. Crazy girl! Thankfully, I found an authentic baltic amber teething necklace for her at our local consignment store. To say that I was excited is an understatement. I am one happy mama!! She loves it too, it doesn't bother her and I think it has done wonders for her. We don't do medicine here, so this was a perfect option. Look, she went from an angry baby in the mornin...
