Hoppy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! How was yours? The kids went on two egg hunts and saw a whole bunch of our family members. It was great! Be prepared for a bit of a photo dump, I took so many photos from this weekend lol. Saturday morning after Alan's last soccer game, my mom took the kids to an Easter egg hunt. I had to work, so I was so happy she took the kids too. Both Alan and Anna did their own egg hunts for their age group. Alan didn't get too many eggs actually but Anna found quite a few. She was so nice and shared with him though! Alan sliding down the inflatable slide After the egg hunts, Alan and Anna played a few games and went on the inflatable things before leaving for lunch. Alan went on the slide a few times and Anna played in the bouncy house. She was silly though and would only sit, said my mom. Apparently she wanted other kids to bounce her lol. What a goof ball! :) They all had a great time though. Anna and Uncle Kalvin after their Easter egg hu...

Our Easter Sunday 2012

Image
Easter was fantastic this year! Alan, Lon and I had such a wonderful time with our beloved family. What a great way to celebrate love and rebirth. :) Oddly different from Christmas morning, Alan let us sleep in Easter morning. He didn't wake up to do his first Easter egg hunt until about ten! Which was just AWESOME because we had spent that night up until one or two just preparing the house for the hunt lol. :) We had filled forty eggs for him total, twelve with Cars 2 Squinkies and the remaining with various candies. We had also filled his basket with a Fireman Sam DVD, a giggler toy, a Star Wars light saber candy and a M&M sucker. We hid the eggs starting in his bedroom and making their way to the living room. Alan did a great job finding all of his eggs! Lon and I just followed him, snapping pictures, while he found egg after egg. Even the ones we actually tried to hide from him lol! He is a regular egg hunting champ! :) He kept stopping and opening each egg after he f...

Easter Egg Hunt Saturday!!

Image
Friday, we took everyone to get Easter Bunny pictures before Aunt Natalie and Jake left to head back home. I was nervous about Alan being horrified of the bunny because he had never taken pictures with him, or even seen him. But he did fantastic! Easter family pic 2012 Our Easter boys after seeing the Bunny Then Friday night, we all got together to dye Easter eggs. Alan, Uncle Kalvin and Aunt April each got to dye nine eggs, except one of Alan's broke so we headed home with only eight. But Alan did a great job slowly setting the eggs into the dye and making sure not to splash it everywhere, which I was endlessly grateful for as it was vinegar mostly lol. The eggs turned out vibrant and beautiful and Alan really enjoyed dying them almost all by himself. Our finished Easter eggs. :) Yesterday Alan and I went to two different Easter egg hunts with Grandma Melanie, Aunt April and Uncle Kalvin. We were supposed to meet up with Kelsie and Kelton but they had to switch plan...

Circus Adventures

Image
Our weekend wasn't too eventful, on Saturday I worked and then we went to the circus with my family and on Sunday we just hung out at home. I was supposed to get my haircut from my girlfriend Sarah, but she had to work instead. We rescheduled for this upcoming Sunday. :) We had a really great time at the circus Saturday night though! Alan and I went with my mother, Uncle Kalvin, Aunt April, second cousin Morgan and Kalvin's friend Casey. We saw my old manager from CEC Kelsey and a couple kids who I work with at the YMCA. The first half of the show started out with the tigers, which Alan was surprisingly not that into. Then there were some balancing acts and a hula hoop act,  where Alan was more interested in the lights lol. But once the puppies came out for their act, Alan was all eyes and ears lol, standing up and cheering along with the crowd. His favorite was the littlest one. :) There were a few more acts and then the brought out the motorcycle on the tight rope. Alan, ...

Our Easter Plans

My poor, poor husband. He got sick last night and has been throwing up ever since. I think he has the stomach bug that has been going around, ugh. He has never looked so miserable, I feel so bad. But so Alan and I don't get sick ourselves, I had to leave him alone to fend for himself today. I at least set him up with plenty of cold water bottles and some chicken broth close by, so he won't have to do too much work. Then we set out to spend our Mama and Son day date together. :) We went to Kelsie's house to play on her playground with Kelton for a bit, and then I am taking him out for ice cream after lunch. I'm not sure if we are going to the circus tonight or later this weekend, but if not I hope to go out to dinner with some friends tonight. Anyways, back to my Easter plans! Easter is a week and a half away from us and its about time to start planning our activities for the holiday. For those of you new to this blog, my family still celebrates Easter even though I ...

On Easter Sunday

Image
I know its almost been a week now, but I just realized that I had not posted about how our Easter morning and Alan's first Easter egg hunt! They both went so well, but were over-shadowed by the wedding and reception. Nonetheless, they deserve their spot in my blog. I will also add photos as soon as I figure this whole thing out lol (Can you email pictures to your blog?) but for now, bear with me. :) Sunday morning came to find Lon and I toddler-less (Alan had spent the night at his grandparent's house) but for some reason we still woke up at 8 am lol so I made him a breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast that we ate in bed lol, watching Mystery Science Theather 3000 for an hour or two. For those of you who have never heard of this crazy awesome old show, google it lol. :D Here's a photo of the characters from one of the seasons. Lon and I are just obsessed! Via Then we went over to Alan's grandparent's house for Alan's first Easter egg hunt. :) It was made...
