First Soccer Practice!

Image
Unfortunately, we were rejected again by the third company. Shoot! :/ We will find out about the other tomorrow or the next day. Darn, I really hope we get this one, but I'm not lying when I say that I am starting to lose hope. I wish we could just buy a house, but we can't do that now. We can't afford it. But it sucks when everyone wants an arm and a leg from you to just be accepted these days, its hard. How am I supposed to better myself as a renter when I am not even given the chance? Ugh its so frustrating! Oh well, one day it will get better. I have to continue to have hope for the situation! However, I do have some good news for you all! As of tomorrow, I will be the new teacher for Tumble 1 and Tumble 2 at the YMCA! I subbed for them last week and my director was so impressed that he asked me to continue to teach the classes. Yay! I am so excited! I love teaching gymnastics, and now my whole week is full of teaching! Yay! Alan had his first soccer practice this wee...

Exciting News!

Image
I have just been terrible about blogging lately! I am so sorry guys! We have been trying to find a new house this week. We have looked at several places and found one that is right for us! We applied for it on Wednesday and will find out if we get it by Friday! I am so excited! This means that we could be moving into a new place by THIS WEEKEND!!! Please give us all good energy and positive prayers! We need all the good juju we can get! We desperately need our family whole again! Alan had his second to last basketball game this weekend. He has one more this Saturday and then will be done with basketball for the year. He starts soccer in March. :) Alan was on Team Yellow this week. He played really well! I had to help him remember to guard the offense and to pass the ball when it was his turn, he still did a wonderful job! I am very proud of him and cannot wait until next week! A coach and team meeting before the game begins Take the shot Alan, take the shot! :D I am also p...

Croup on the SuperBowl!

Image
We aren't a football family, I don't think that I can even NAME all the teams on the NFL. The same goes for my hubby too- Lon is much more of an outdoor-sy, adventurous guy rather then a sports guy. He would definitely rather play the sport then watch it on tv, that's how I am too. Regardless, we do attend both of our parent's SuperBowl parties every year. My father and my family are so big on their football, its like our second Christmas lol! They always go all out for food and watch the SuperBowl from the beginning until the aftershow. This year was no different. My mom was planning on making tacos, pizza rolls and 7 layer nacho dip for the game. Our in-laws were having stuffed peppers, loaded baked potatoes and fancy seafood quesdillas for dinner. We planned on attending both of these events. Unfortunately due to the winter weather, Aunt Natalie and Benton did not come to town for SuperBowl. Nat did not feel that the Bozeman Pass would be safe enough for them in th...

Make-Up Class, Gymnastics Style

Image
The past few weeks Alan has been absent from his gymnastics classes unfortunately. For good reason though, with his great grandfather's passing a week ago and his great grandfather's funeral the following Monday. Both incidents happened on his gymnastics day, there was no way I could force him to go after that. Thankfully with the upcoming gymnastics showcase next week, his school allows make up classes. One of them was scheduled for yesterday morning and one is scheduled for the first week of November. We are used to afternoon classes, so the morning class was quite a change! There was only one other parent/toddler class going on at the same time! It was definitely quiet there lol! Look at how small this class is! And no other classes except for the babies! Alan dancing to warm up Miss Anna was still quite tired, she barely woke up in time for us to leave so I left her in her pjamas. I also ended up bringing breakfast for her with us. Oh well! :) She was als...

Toddler Talk Thursdays!! April 19, 2012

Image
I cannot believe that I am days away from being in the third trimester! This is crazy, it seems like just days ago it was Thanksgiving and I had just found out I was pregnant again. And now? Its like less than three months away that we will be meeting her! I cannot wait, I am ready to meet her now. Today since the weather looked nice out, Alan and I took a walk to my parent's house to do some laundry. Well it may have looked nice out lol but it was super windy and we were not prepared for it! Poor Alan looked like he was gonna be blown away and the mean wind was making little tears form in the corners of his eyes. :( He still managed to have a great time regardless, he kept picking dandelions and throwing them into the wind to watch them fly away lol. I found those "helicopter" seeds (the ones that spin when you throw them up in the air?) and showed him how to play with those, he loved it! We also had a conversation with a worm, a bird and several puppy dogs lol. And we...

Toddler Talk Thursdays!! April 12, 2012

Happy Thursday everyone! Today we were going to walk over to my parent's house (they only live a few blocks away from us) but when I woke up this morning, it was raining! Lol I'm not complaining too much though, because it looks just gorgeous outside! The trees, flowers and grass are all bright green and happily singing in the rain! They sure are enjoying all this water, you can see it in their color! :) Lol, I'm done with my hippie moment for now. Here's this week's Toddler Talk Thursday!! This week's topic: Toddlers and Sports! I have written about this before, sometime last year. Coming from a sporty family (my sisters and I have been in dance and swimming since a very young age and Kalvin is into baseball and football), I definitely recognize the importance of sports. Its another form of early discipline and guidance for children, as well as physical exercise. I also understand the importance of starting children early, maybe not in team sports, but ...

Alan is continuing to wow us! Well of course!

Yesterday was uneventful for us except for Alan's art class. Lon doesn't work Tuesdays so he and Alan met me after my first class and we prepared for this next class together. I love that my husband is an artist because I can just give him directions and not have to worry about him. Which is good because I had about 25 shamrocks of various sizes to cut out in fifteen minutes lol. Oops! :P Class went great! Everyone was there, and all the toddlers participated in all of the projects with their parents/grandparents. Alan loved being the only boy in class, besides his daddy. He got to sit in between two of the girls and he thoroughly enjoyed helping them get their crayons, glue sticks, pompoms, glitters, and colored noodles for their crafts. I think everyone enjoyed making the 3D shamrocks the best because of all the gluing. Or maybe the Saint Patrick's Day drawings because they were allowed to draw with pencils. Or even the shamrock rainbows because of the coloring and text...
