A Day in the Life

Image
The whole time I was writing this post, I had the Beatles "A Day in the Life" stuck in my head. Well, really only part of it lol. :P But I couldn't seem to shake this catchy chorus from my brain, despite how much I tried. Woke up, fell out of bed  Dragged a comb across my head Deedle lee dee, deedle lee dee  Found my way downstairs and drank a cup  And looking up, I noticed I was late Tick, tock, tick  Found my coat and grabbed my hat  Made the bus in seconds flat  Deedle lee dee, deedle lee dee Found my way upstairs and had a smoke  And somebody spoke and I went into a dream  Ahh, ahh, ahh  But I digress lol, I have been thinking about how my life has changed now that I am a mother of two. My day starts at seven (if I am lucky lol) now, instead of eight or nine. And it usually doesn't end until eleven or twelve (once again if I am lucky), instead of ten. People always tell moms of newborns to "Sleep when they do" but this is ...

First I want to say have a wonderful trip to Java @Never Growing Old, who hosts this blog hop! I hope you have a great time in Mexico!! :D I also wanted to wish Miss Sophie a happy first birthday today!! :D Saturday was her birthday party, but today she is officially one! I will have to get Alan to stop calling her "Baby Sophie" now (he's been calling her that since she was born lol)! Happy first birthday beautiful girl! We love you so much! Today will be a good day. I have one of my Kindergarten art classes this morning and then I work in Child Watch from 3 to 8. If the weather stays nice (it looks like it could rain) then we will be playing outside again all day! Yes!! :D I love these summer days! Here's Meet Me on Monday!! What feature of the opposite sex do you notice first? Their eyes or their smile. For Lon, it was actually his hair lol, but that was only because he was wearing sunglasses and he had GORGEOUS blonde locks back then. *Swoons* Ooooooh...

Happy Earth Day, 5QF, and the wedding is tomorrow!!

I simply cannot believe that tomorrow at three, Lon and I will be getting married! This just blows my mind, and I've think I've finally figured out why. :) When I first met Lon's older brother my first (and only so far lol) year of college I would I never thought that three years later I'd be getting married and have a toddler! And definitely not to Lon! :) Lol I was seeing someone else at that time and was still young and wild, I didn't think I'd settle down and have kids for another five or ten years! I was a free spirit to be reckoned with back then. :) But Lon tamed me lmao (We both did some taming) and now I'm just another boring mama who turns in a ten pm lol. I wouldn't have my life any other way though! I love my boys to the sun and back! Lon I can't wait to marry you! <3 Via Ooh today is so busy for me! Happy Earth Day too everyone! We will be doing lots of running around today because we have my mani/pedi, a playdate at Riv...

Good morning everyone! Today looks like it will be another beautiful spring day! :) Alan and I are watching Seasame Street and Alan's coloring Lon a picture of Elmo and his daddy. So I'm gonna go ahead and start my Monday blog hops. :) Here's Meet me on Monday!! Who would be your dream celebrity date? My husband thinks this is so weird because this man is so old (well older than us lol) and so not often seen as "hot" lol, but my dream celebrity date would definitely be Jim Carrey. Ooooh he's so attractive and so funny, I've been crushing on him since Bruce Almighty. <3 Now I know he's dating Jenny McCarthy, but I like her and I love them together, they're so adorable and perfect for each other. But a girl can still dream right? Lol love him in this pic, I love him with his long hair!! (This photo thanks to http://www.meltedreelonline.com) Do you have any food restrictions? I do not but my poor sister does. She has gone most of he...

Working 9 to 5 every single day...

Well not quite lol, but I work like ALL the time these days. Which is the complete opposite yet oddly similar to what I was doing last year, when Alan was only a month old. I was a SAHM for his first year of life, and finally got a job just two days before his first birthday lol. I've now been working there for almost two months, and I love it. :) I get to work with kids, which is my passion, and Alan gets to interact with other children his age and older.  Its perfect! For those of you who don't know where I work now, I work at the Billings YMCA. I teach an art class for young children, run their birthday party program, and work in there Child Watch drop-in daycare. This keeps me very busy as I am working three different programs while most employees there only work one. I am there in the mornings til noon, then I go in from 3 to 8, and I work Saturdays too. But I thrive best sometimes in busy schedules, so I think I'll do okay. Plus when I get tired of one program, I ju...
