Tucker's Birthday Party

Image
I love my job, for sooooooooo many reasons! One of them is my Y family! The people that I work with aren't just coworkers, we are a community, we are our own family. Our children grow up together, we celebrate holidays and birthdays together, we support those who need it and praise those who have succeeded. I wouldn't want my little family to grow up anywhere else! :D Speaking of Y family members, one of Alan's best buddies had his fifth birthday this weekend. He just happened to have it at the Y (as do most staff kids, our birthday parties are so popular!) and he invited Alan. We all had such a wonderful time! The party was football themed and there were several of Alan's classmates there as well. Anna tagged along for the party, she did pretty good too, considering she was the youngest in the whole group! :) She hung out with Tucker's teenage sisters almost the whole time lol. Already such a diva… Thanks for inviting us Tucker! We had a wonderful...

Fall Birthday Parties!

Image
And I thought that September was the month for birthday parties! Holy birthday parties this month though! Last weekend was two of Anna's friends' birthday parties and this weekend the kids have another birthday party for some siblings we know! That is technically four different birthday kids! Crazy! Ryleigh's Birthday Party Miss Anna was invited to her very first birthday party for a daycare friend where her big brother was not present. My big girl did such a good job too! The party was Thomas the train themed, I thought that was super cute and original! Look at that cake too! Her mother spent all night making it, and it is rainbow striped on the inside too! Wow! I was working the party, so I didn't get to take many photos of her. But here are some from Ryleigh's mama! The kids did an obstacle course, played hide and go seek together, and flew on the zip line! Miss Anna had a blast and was such a big girl! She wasn't even upset when Alan had to leave. Good...

Diversity's Dance Recital and Dominic's Birthday Party

Image
This weekend was also full of dance recitals and birthday parties lol. Its funny how the month of May is usually always like that. :P But this time around it was Aunt April's Diversity Dance Studio recital and Alan's school friend Dominic's third birthday party. It was a lot of work for this mama lol, but a good Saturday for us overall! Dominic's party was actually at the YMCA. Dom's mom works with me there as well. I think I may be having Alan's party this year at the Y as well, but I haven't fully made up my mind yet. The party was a blast though! It was one of my tumble parties, the kids had a great time! Alan loved running all over with Dominic and his older brother. He always has so much energy lol. :) Anna tried to keep up with them, but after a bit she just started doing her own thing. Silly girl! Anna about to shoot a hoop Alan as the King of the World lol Alan and Anna went on the zipline maybe a billion times. Dang my monkey kids love ...

Five Question Friday!! January 25, 2013

Image
Its my first Five Question Friday in the New Year!! And actually my first one in a while. Its hard to keep up with weekly blog hops when you no longer have internet at your house. I make do but sometimes without the blog hops, which isn't as fun lol. But I am definitely glad to be back and glad to be able to find some new blogs to read! I have definitely been lacking in some reading material lol. :) I hope everyone has an awesome weekend! This weekend I am swamped with work and it sucks. This will be a lot for me. This is one of the first weekends since I have had Anna that I am truly busy, like chicken with their head cut off BUSY. I got double booked for birthday parties tonight and am fully booked for them tomorrow. I will only be working like seven hours total, but for me that is a lot. I still pump and nurse my daughter, thus am only used to working three to four hour shifts. Like I said, this is a lot for me. I will be pumping at work, something that will be an adventure o...

Five Question Friday! September 28, 2012

Image
Happy Friday everyone! I just cannot believe that tomorrow I will have a twelve week old. She is getting so big so fast, it is just crazy to me. Today I am subbing as an art teacher at the YMCA. Its only one class but it will be nice because I miss teaching art! :) There's not much else going on here, except for I was finally able to complete a load of dishes this morning! It has been a rough week for Anna for some reason (I think we might all be kinda sick with a common cold) so I have gotten NOTHING  done around the house. Including the dishes lol. Fail! I also realized that this is the week that everyone in the house forgot to rinse their plates off because dishes took me around an hour to do. And Anna was not at fault. Another fail! :/ Yay, glad they are at least done! Scratch that, I am sure that at least Lon and I have a cold. And probably Alan too... So maybe everyone but Anna? Because I have not seen any symptoms from her, except for all around c...

What I'm Loving Wednesday!! September 26, 2012

Image
Today was a uneventful day, I only had to teach hiphop in the late afternoon. I also did not get too much done around the house either because Anna wanted to eat almost all day and I have not felt too good. I do not want to jinx myself by saying it but I think I am getting sick. I'm pretty sure that Alan is sick, he has been coughing alot at night. Ugh I just hope that Anna does not get it. I'm linking up again with Jamie @ This Kind of Love for What I'm Loving Wednesday. This is my second time linking up with her, be sure to check out her post! Enjoy! I'm loving that when I went to the grocery store today, there was a HUGE pumpkin display out front! Yay for fall! I'm loving that on the Katie Couric Show today two moms who breastfed in public came on a spoke about their experiences! Breastfeeding is being realized by more and more people as a normal and okay thing! This makes me happy! I'm loving that a nurse in is being scheduled at Applebee'...

How My Weekend Went...

Image
I had a very good weekend. It wasn't too busy, which was just perfect, and even though Grandma Melanie and Aunt April were out of state, I enjoyed the time I spent with my family. Friday night was Jessica's Bachelorette Party, Saturday I worked and then had a pizza party with Alan and Sunday we went to Pioneer Park for our Arbor Day Tree Scavenger Hunt. We had a pretty decent weekend! :D Jessica's Bachelorette Party was a lot of fun for me actually! :) I was pleasantly surprised lol. Because I had covered her shift for her, I missed the dinner but met up with them at their first bar destination. Manny's Sports Bar and Grill. There was a comedian in the actual bar part that I wasn't aware of, so I walked in on the show and embarrassed myself, to say the least lol. But I quickly found them thanks to the help from the very polite bouncer (I mean, I interrupted the show and he was still helpful and nice!) and after receiving my Team Bride shirt and my nickname (I was ...

Five Question Friday! February 3, 2012

Image
Happy Friday everyone! Please check out my post today, The Traveling Red Dress: Beginning my Journey, it is one worthy of reading about! :) Here's my Five Question Friday! Enjoy! 1. What have you done recently that you are proud of? I cleaned my whole house yesterday, that was quite a feat lol. With my pregnancy pains and blah-ness combined with an annoying toddler tagging along, messing everything up behind me lol, I would definitely say its something to be proud of. Right, right????? :P 2. What is your favorite way to work out? Or if you don't workout, what are you wanting to try? Yoga or Pilates, oh I love to do them! I will normally combine them with meditating and its one of the most peaceful ways to work out EVER!!!!! Via 3. If you knew you best friend was cheating on spouse would you tell? Oooooh, this is a difficult one. I don't think I would honestly, its between the couple and not me. But it would absolutely just suck to find out that you...
