Meet Me on Monday!! June 27, 2011

Image
I'm not feeling that hot this morning. I was up all night last night with a gruesome stomach ache. :\ It finally went away at like seven, you know, an hour before I had to wake up. Blah. At least today I only have one art class and work only from 3 to 8 in daycare. I might be sleeping the rest of the time... Ha! I wish! Here's Meet Me on Monday! What is your favorite food? Probably spaghetti. Ooooh I love me some spaghetti! Any pasta really, but there's something about how easy it is to make (SUPER EASY) versus how delicious it is (SUPER DELICIOUS) that makes me just want to eat it all the time. Yum! Too bad Lon feels the EXACT opposite way about spaghetti. So we eat it like... once a month. Boo! What color scheme is your bedroom? We do not have a color scheme. Lon is an eccentric inventor and I'm a hippie (duh lol) so we don't believe in conforming to a specific color scheme for just about any room. In our bedroom alone, we have my purple tapestry, bl...

Toddler Talk Thursday!! June 2, 2011

Image
Today will be a nice day for us. I only work six hours today, and Alan gets to spend four of them with me! Yesterday he had a wonderful time with Korbin and his other daycare friends. We played outside, played with balls and tents, colored and of course played Alan's favorite- cars. :) Alan loves his Korbin, and we have to get in all the time we can because his family's moving at the end of this month! :( We will miss them so! In other good news, Lon has gotten a temporary job welding folf baskets, goals (???) for his good friend Sean. I am very proud and excited for my inventor! Congratulations hubby! :D This weekend, a close family friend is getting married to the love of his life. :) Aw, I have been so mushy since Lon and I got married lol. I can't wait for this Saturday! I love this guy like a brother and have known him most of my life, and I can't wait to celebrate their love! This wedding will be a blast too, the one good thing about the couple being family fri...

Sunny Sunday Musings

Image
Today has been an awesome, sunny, beautiful, lazy Sunday for us. The three of us have yet to actually leave the house or talk to anyone (except for maybe online I guess) but we are so happy spending time alone together, away from all the drama. Here's some of what happened today: Alan surprised us just before nap time lol. He was playing in the living room while Lon was working on his invention in Alan's room and I was doing some cleaning in our bedroom. When we are at home we usually just keep him in underwear/diaper or underwear/diaper and a shirt, but he has *yet* to learn to take them off. Well it got real quiet in the living room so I went in to investigate. And I came across a bare butt Alan running around giggling and slapping his boy parts. Lmao! :D It was seriously the funniest thing I have ever seen! We quickly clothed his little butt and looked everywhere to see if he had had an accident, and he did not pee or poop ANYWHERE!! Go big boy! :D This potty training ...

Five Question Friday!! May 6, 2011

Image
Happy Friday everyone! I am so glad that its Friday because this week has drug by soooooooooo slowly and has been so stressful for me. I just can't wait for the weekend! Plus today is Uncle Kalvin's birthday party at the Reef. Alan and I will be making a short appearance there since its right during his nap time lol. :) Tonight I work only three hours at Child Watch and then get to go to Bryson's Photo Studio to view my wedding photos! :D Then Saturday I work all day (blah to the max lol) and Sunday is Mother's Day. :) So who knows what Lon and Alan have planned for me, they've been being very secreative lately. And now for Five Question Friday!! Enjoy! Have you ever had roommates? Have I ever lol! I have had seven different roommates throughout my adult life. How many names do you/your children have? (i.e. Prince Charming William Phillip Arthur Louis John Jacob Jingleheimer-Schmidt) We both only have three names, but that almost wasn't the case for A...

Meet Me on Monday!! May 2, 2011

Happy Monday! And what a happy Monday it is, after last night's presidential address! :) Via I actually did not watch Obama's address last night, it was dinnertime and we have a strict no tv rule during Family Sunday dinners. But Osama Bin-Laden is dead! Now I'm not one to normally celebrate a living creature's death (I have been known to cry over road kill lol) but this man has been involved in terrorism for too long. He has caused too much death and destruction in this world, so his death is a very celebratory thing for some people. We are not celebrating it like most, per say, but we are very happy. :) Thanks to the military and all those fighting for good. Patriotism and our military is very important to my family. We have three uncles in the military (Uncle Cameron, Tyler and Aaron) and Uncle Cameron has even been on active duty in Iraq. We are very blessed to have all of our brothers safe today here, but not so many families are that lucky. Please rememb...

Honeymoon Plans and Art Class

Image
For any of you who don't know (if there is anyone lol), Lon and I were married last Saturday, April 23. :) It was a beautiful event, and though I have yet to post pictures of it yet, you can read about it here and here. We cannot wait to go on our honeymoon, but unfortunately we will have to wait until June when my mother is out of school (she's a first grade teacher) and can babysit Alan for a weekend. We still are super excited to go and are grateful for the extra time to save more money! :) Via Lol, sorry I just love Precious Moments! I had to put one on here, especially for the wedding! :) But I digress... We have finally decided on a place to have our honeymoon, and I'd love to share the exciting details with you! We plan on leaving Saturday morning (Toddler free! Wahoo!!) and going to Chico Hot Springs Resort, by Livingston Montana. There we will participate in such activities as outdoor pilates, horseback riding, massage therapy, hiking, hot spri...

Spring is here again! Hope its stays for more than a week this time lol!

Today was a wonderful, relaxing day for me and my family. Alan woke us up pretty early, so we all snuggled in bed and watched the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends movie for a few hours. Then I pulled myself out of bed lol, and made the family eggs with toast and hashbrowns. My boys love Sunday morning breakfasts, they both chowed their food down and even had seconds! :) It looked like a nice, sunny day outside so we dressed Alan in shorts for the first time of the year and took him for a walk around the neighborhood. He loves walking outside on his own, holding our hands and talking with us. He is growing into such a big boy these days, he seems to understand more each day and is such a sponge when it comes to learning. I love how smart he's become these days. <3 After the walk, we had a lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and chicken noodle soup. Alan's getting better at scooping with the spoon, and its adorable to hear him enthusiastically say, "Scooo...

On inventions...

My husband definitely is an intriguing man. I love him so lol. <3 For those of you that don't know, my husband is not only the supervisor at the Village Inn, he's a somewhat successful inventor. I say this because of all the inventions he's made, a good sum of his inventions have either hurt him or made a "mess" but a handful have been quite successful. I have a blog post back loaded into my computer about a specific invention (his jet pack lol) that caused him quite a minor injury and made a disaster of my house, I'll have to locate it tonight and upload it here because its a must read and a classic. :) I have since then made him promise to put his jet pack plans aside until we purchase our own house, so he has moved his focus back to robotics. His full plan is to create a humunoid robot, but for now he's developing the hands and feet of said robot. You know Honey I Shrunk the Kids or even Flubber? That's my husband lol, only waaaaaaay more attra...
