We Love Fall!

Image
My family just loves fall! Its our favorite season! The colors, the corn mazes, the weather, the pumpkin patches, Halloween, Thanksgiving, we just love it all! I must say this about every season lol, I guess we just like change in our surroundings. :) I love each season really, they all have wonderful aspects that I look forward to each year! I'm sure we will be saying the same thing about the winter season too. I think that maybe we are just Montanans and just really  love Mother Nature lol. :) But we definitely are enjoying THIS season right now! Yesterday, it was rainy and a little bit chilly outside. But the kids were very restless inside, we tried playing games and reading books, doing artwork together. No go! On a whim, we bundled up and went outside to play despite the weather! A little bit of rain never hurt no one lol! :) I need to start remembering to take advantage of certain things while we are staying here, like the big kid friendly backyard my parents have. Its a ...

Moving Challenges

Friday, I said that I would post about all of our current moving challenges and obstacles we have faced this past month with our dream house. Well if irony would not have it, we had even MORE challenges and obstacles presented to us this whole weekend. Thus making it near to impossible for me to even have a chance to write this post, let alone actually proof and post it. Ugh life is so difficult lately. I remind myself daily that we are in soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better of shape than a lot of those living on the East Coast, but I still find myself occasionally slipping and complaining. Its frustrating, really. To prevent myself from just completely sounding like a cry baby whiner, I have been with holding information from you, my readers, again. I am sorry, I seem to keep doing that. What I am realizing is that this is not really whining, this blog is a form of a venting system for me as well as a chronicle of my life. Looking back on my life so far, I enjoy remembering the h...

Summer is upon us! Already!

Image
Ahhhhh, my favorite season of the year is already upon us! Yes! This weekend was just fantastic for us! Summer is officially here, with the weather being sunny and WAAAAARM (estimated 80 degrees both days) and windy too lol. Saturday, we went on a play date with Lon, Aunt Ariel, Korbin and his mama Erica to North Park. We played in the water park for a whole hour and a half! Alan was scared of the water sprinklers at first, but he would chase Korbin into the water, trying to "save" him lol. He would chase after Korbin, yelling his name, and once he caught up to him, he would grab him and say "All better" lol! Too funny! Aunt Ariel loved helping watch the wild toddlers too, she would chase after them for us. We were so grateful for her, it meant we didn't have to get soaked ourselves! :) We had a wonderful time with the kids, and Alan was so tuckered out afterwards that he fell asleep in the car on the way to the wedding! :D Unfortunately, Lon had to work a...

Walking does wonders for the nomadic soul in me.

I have this crazy theory kicking around in my head. I would like to share it with you, my readers. Please bare with me, I may get a little wild with this one. :D I'm very passionate about it. There's a reason why people, why my family in general as well as everyone else, is not happy about their daily life and it is because humans are no longer listening to their natural instincts of being nomadic.  In a completely natural world, humans would be nomadic. Think Native American or some African tribes, they are a wonderful example. Humans (in nature) travel with their prey, whether it be a pack of deer, antelope, or gazelles. They have developed somewhat portable shelters, and they follow the pack wherever it leads them. Its a really simple, yet beautiful concept. This obviously is not the case with modern day people. We spend all day inside moving from one shelter to another. We start in the morning at their house, then go to their car, to their job, back to their car, to a...
