All Hallow's Eve 2014

Image
I hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween night! I know that we did! It was the perfect way to end one crazy week for me, I wouldn't have had it any other way! We never ended up going to the pumpkin patch or corn maze, we just didn't have the time. But Grandpa Kevin picked out two good pumpkins for Alan and Anna to carve up! Thanks Grandpa! Alan carved a "half Ninjago, half Captain America" pumpkin and Anna carved a silly pumpkin face. They both turned out pretty cute, even though we messed up on the top part of Anna's pumpkin lol! Tuesday morning, Anna had her Halloween party for her dance class. She wore her costume but was the only kid in her class that did for some reason. They still got a chance to dress up at the end of class, which Anna always loves. They also played with pompoms and did the obstacle course. Miss Rachel loves how good Anna is already at her gymnastics skills. I always have to remind her its only because I also teach dance a...

Our Halloween 2013

Image
Has anyone else been having issues with their Blogger? All of my sidebar stuff will only show up underneath my posts, completely defeating the purpose of a sidebar lol! I tried everything I could think of to fix it, without luck. Anyone else in the same boat? I am hoping so and that it will get fixed soon! Because it is quite annoying! :P I figured that I would just go ahead and post today, even though I don't normally post on Saturdays and Sundays because they are reserved for the family! :) But I have so many darn things to post about, I will be so backed up if I don't start posting soon lol! Today we played outside for a good hour and a half, then later we will meet up with Daddy and go to Anna's friend's first birthday party at Kid's Klubhouse! Oh the kids just love it there, if I was rich and we lived closer, they would probably go to school there lol! Its great! After the party, I have two meetings for work. On a Sunday, blah!!! Oh well, I will have spent mo...

Happy Halloween!!

Image
Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone has a safe and BOO-tiful Halloween tonight! Via This year for Halloween I am dressed up as a the Wicked Witch of the West, complete with AWESOME stockings! Lon is dressing up as a zombie, hopefully he won't scare the kids. Alan is dressing up as a Green Power Ranger. And Miss Anna will be Elmo. Although I did have a handful of people tell me that she should have gone as a boxer, I love this idea lol, it is embracing the bad situation and making the best of it. Darn, wish we had some baby sized boxing gloves lying around. :P I also heard that she should be a spotted puppy dog, with the spot right over her owie. And a zombie Elmo, which I did not like as much. She is just my beautiful Elmo baby though! Last night was Alan's Thriller performance for Halloween. He did such a great job! I am one proud mama! I did take some photos and should have one of the dance moms text me the video, since I was too busy performing as well. I...

Month in Review: October 2012

October was a good month for my family. We participated in several fall activities, found a new place to move into, celebrated my two year blogiversary, I worked Color me Rad and we even had some Halloween fun! What a busy month! Here's what we did: This month we celebrated Lon's birthday and Uncle Aaron's birthday. Alan and I made Lon a birthday card and birthday cupcakes, and we got him some new clothes for his birthday. Anna's friend Cordelia also celebrated her first birthday, she had a fun costume party at her house for it. Mama Heather made so much cool food, it was so awesome! I also celebrated my two year blogiversary, along with it came some new changes to my blog. Hope everyone likes it! Its not a big anniversary but Lon and I also celebrated our year and a half wedding anniversary. We are pretty excited to have made it a year and a half! :D We hope for at least sixty more years! We also celebrated Halloween this year. Alan is old enough to enjoy Hallowee...

Anna's First Halloween

Image
We had a good Halloween this year. Alan was finally old enough to truly enjoy everything and it was Anna's first Halloween. To answer all my curious readers, Alan was the Incredible Hulk and Anna was a cupcake. :) I dressed up as Anna's birthday girl and she was my cupcake. I woke up Hallween morning to this wonderful post on Facebook from a great friend. I instantly shared it on my own page, but for those of you who are not my friends, here is the post: Tomorrow, a lot of creatures may visit your door. Be open minded. The child who is grabbing more than one piece of cand y might have poor fine motor skills. The child who takes forever to pick out one piece of candy might have motor planning issues. The child who does not say "trick-or-treat" or "thank you" might be painfully shy, non-verbal, or selectively mute. If you cannot understand their words, they may struggle with developmental Apraxia of speech. They are thankful in their hearts and minds. The ...

Guess My Halloween Costume Clue #5

Image
Happy Halloween! I wanted to give a shout out to one of my mama friends Chelsea- Monday she shared a link of my Color me Rad post on her Facebook page! Love it, thanks girl! I love when my readers share my blog! We are mid move and busy with Healthy Halloween and the Candy Run today, so I will not be posting much. I will post about our many Hallween events on Friday! And hopefully after the weekend, our new place will be mostly unpacked so I can do a post on it! Yay! i also have yet to post about Cordelia's birthday party too! Ahhhh, I am getting so behind! Bare with me, beloved readers, I will be back after the move! It just feels close to impossible moving with two children- one a nursing newborn- and in this weather. Gah! We are getting there though! Here is the final clue for Alan and Anna's costumes this year. For the first four clues, check here, here, here and here! Comment on this post on any of the others what your guess is! The cont...

A Trip to the Corn Maze

Image
Thursday the kids and I met up with my friend Jessica and her family at our town's corn maze and pumpkin patch. Anna had her last weight check up with her pediatrician that morning, so we got the jeep for the day. Alan and I were so excited to be able to get out around town some! Anna's appointment went really well. Anna weighed 10 pounds and 8 ounces, a whole pound more since her last appointment with them. The nurses seemed very pleased with that progress. They asked me if we had changed anything and I filled them in our own recent work with the Lactation Consultant. She told me that I was right to have contacted her and Anna was lucky to have such a dedicated parent. Made my day, just a little bit. I'll be honest with you. Then we saw our new doctor (one randomly picked from our clinic this time) and what a surprise that was! It was my old school friend Rosa, the girl who actually gave me the idea of Rosalie's name when I was pregnant with her! Wow what a coincide...

Extravagent Halloween plans for an almost 14 month old? What? :D

My husband thinks I'm absolutely insane for making such a big deal out of this year's Halloween, but what he forgets is that I'm like this every holiday, lmao! :D Holidays have always been very important for me and even more so now that I have my own son to celebrate with. This year's Halloween though is very special and important to me because this is Alan's first Halloween where he's able to participate. So I am going to be very particular about how we spend our night, er nights lol. :D I know, I know, I'm a total geek but here's my plan: Our Halloween celebrations will begin Friday October 29th. Alan and I have professional pictures in our Halloween costume (you gotta love Sears, they're so cheap I can get ridiculous pro pictures like these done lol!). We have yet to buy our costumes but should have by the end of the weekend. *Crossing my fingers* Alan and I are definitely doing a pair costume, either BoPeep and Sheep or Princess and Frog Prince...
