Five Question Friday! March 16, 2012

Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone has a great Saint Patrick's Day weekend, I know we do! :) Please make sure those that are drinking this weekend are making sure they have a designated driver take them home. Saint Patrick's Day should be a fun and safe holiday! Have a good one everyone! Here's this week's Five Question Friday! Enjoy! Will you run to the store or to pick up a kid looking a mess? Yes I will lol. I don't care about my appearance too much, unless it is for a formal occasion. So most days, I look pretty slobby lol. Going to the store? Slobby. Going to a wedding? Dressed up. Going to my parent's house? Slobby. Going to a birthday party? Dressed up. This is how I normally will go lol. Especially since I am almost 23 weeks pregnant with a toddler as well. Do you finish a book if it's boring or you don't like it? Yes! I have always been a firm believer of finishing all books you start, whether they are worthy of you reading the...

I hope you don't mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is while you're in the world.

And it is. <3 Today is our one year anniversary since Lon and I got married at the tax counter.  Yay! :D I am so happy right now and can't wait to enjoy a wonderful day with my beloved boys. Oh and happy Saint Patrick's Day to everyone also! :) We've been trying to teach Alan to say leprechaun today and so far haven't been successful lol. Maybe we should have started teaching him earlier??? :P But I digress, I'm making this post all about my wonderfully amazing husband. So here we go go!! (Dr. Suess anyone? Sorry, back to Lon lmao!) What can I say about you Lon??? There's so much to love... And so many words to express my love. Some that aren't all mine lol. Yes when I think of Lon, a lot of songs and lyrics come to mind. This is of course because music is such a big part of my life, even though I no longer create my own music. So I will probably just be throwing in random lyrics, and I will quotation them so no one is confused lol. :) "I...

Its finally happening!!!!

***I first off apologize about being MIA these past few months. Being the hippie that I am, I believe that wireless internet should be free everywhere and thus, I do not pay for any of my connections, ahem. So for legal reasons lmao, we'll just say that I've been internet-less (except for my mobile phone, but that's impossible to post any blogs from there) since mid October. However, I have not been without my computer, so I have an entire back log of unpublished blogs that I will publish asap. And hopefully now I will be back on for some time now.*** I never thought I would become this type of girl, but yes I have become a "girly girl" as my husband calls it lol. But it has happened, this last two weeks because... WE'RE HAVING OUR WEDDING!!!!!!! I'm just so ecstatic about it. We moved our wedding from mid August to April 23 for several reasons: First, its closer to our common law marriage anniversary (March 17, 2010) and we wanted to do it around ...

So much to be thankful for...

I have a wonderful family that was just created two years ago (when Alan was concieved) and there was once a time where I thought this family would never have been. My husband and I have been married by common law now for eight months, and what a great eight months its been. I'm endlessly blessed and thankful for my beautiful, smart and amazing son who was born just fourteen and a half months ago. Alan Miakel, we love you so! We are blessed to have such a wonderful apartment to live in. It may be old and a little small for this family, but after living here for almost half a year now we are grateful to have it. I am thankful that Lon has a good paying job as a supervisor at the Village Inn and that I also have a good paying job that I love as an art teacher and Child Watch worker at the YMCA. Lon's been at his job now for almost eight years and I've been with the Y for almost three months now. I am thankful that Lon and I both have supportive families. Both of our...

People are weird...

As you all know, Lon and I are married only by common law, but we take it as serious as a real marriage primarily because of Alan. I don't have a ring yet, and we don't plan on actually getting married for a year or two. This is simply because we do have a son and very little money to spend on such expensive things as of current. But when I tell people this, they always tell me to just go out and quickly elope or just get married at the courthouse now. Well, I don't want to do that because even though we don't have the money now, it doesn't mean that we don't want to have a wedding at all. Why should I have to just "get married now" and not have my own girly wedding? What's so important about being married that it can't wait until my husband and I can afford it? I'm still am a girl who has her specific ideas and plans for her dream wedding, and I am determined to make that happen. If this means that I have to save up for two or three years ...
