Pregnancy Post: Week by Week! Week 33 **With Midwife Appointment Update**

I have been offline pretty much all week (with the exception of going on FBMobile every once and a while) but not for the same reason as last week. I have surprisingly felt awesome and have spent my days at home cleaning, baking and preparing some more for Anna. Ummmm, can you say nesting lol? My mom is freaking out a bit at me, she thinks Anna is gonna come like tomorrow or something. Silly Grandma! :)

I went shopping for Anna's car seat and possibly bouncy chair today and I found the perfect one! Its a Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat and I think its perfect. However, it is five dollars more than what I had in gift cards but at least now I know what I want! Maybe I can get it tomorrow since its pay day!

This is what the car seat looks like. :)

I had my midwife appointment yesterday. It was my second to last two week appointment. I will start my one week appointments mid-June. Yes, I am already that close! Wow! :D I saw Miss Pamela again and she was kind enough to let me go without the iron blood test, though it resulted in a lengthy lecture to take my iron supplements twice a day lol. But I was still pleased nonetheless. Anna's heartbeat was a good 156 but she was extremely active. I had not gained any more weight but had not lost any either. All in all, it was a good appointment. :)

Here is this week's Pregnancy Post! Its late again this week, I know! Bare with me readers! :)

How far along: 33 weeks and 4 days

Size of Baby: 5 pounds and 18 inches long or the size of a pineapple

Developments of Baby: Baby girl's skin is becoming softer and plumper in preparation for her arrival! She continues to put on weight.

Weight Gain: Only at ten pounds, but I haven't lost anymore at least!

Belly Button In or Out: It is soooooo close to popping out and it grosses me out lol. I can't look at my bare belly anymore because of it. :P

Maternity Clothes: Hardly any this time around still. Just work pants and jeans really. I think I own two pairs of maternity pants, one pair of shorts and three maternity shirts. Everything else is my regular clothing!

Morning Sickness: It is a lot better than last week, but I have still had it pretty bad. Ugh!

Stretch Marks: I have found some tiny new ones developing on the top of my belly. :( Darn, darn, darn! Oh well, its inevitable I guess lol.

Labor Signs: Anna is really low and I have slight pelvic stretching pains. She is also still head down, which is awesome. And I am still getting those lovely Braxton Hicks contractions. Oh joy lol!

Gender: A Girl :D

Movement: She is always moving and it is almost always a little painful now. You're running out of room, girlie! Be a little nicer to your mama!

Sleep: I sleep until about four every morning... Yeah.

Best Moment This Week: Getting the rest of Anna's stuff from my parent's house.

What I miss: Still not feeling nauseous or sick.

Food Cravings: Dr. Pepper, soft serve ice cream, Salmon, cheeseburgers, cheesecake, pizza, Laffy Taffy, tacos, Cool Ranch Doritios, Starburst, Skittles, Snickers, chocolate, cake lol, chai tea, milkshakes, Salt and Vinegar chips, grilled cheese sandwiches, and definitely lasanga lol!

Food Aversions: Eggs, my husband's beef jerkeys, salad or lettuce in general, french fries or tator tots, pasta and most similar carbs, spicy or Mexican food and raw meat. Yuck to the extreme!

Symptoms: Morning sickness, feeling weak or light-headed, round ligament pain, all around exhaustion, the need to pee ALL the time lol, out of breath easily, food aversions and nausea, major forgetfulness, odd dreams, heightened sense of smell, lower back pains, cluster headaches, leg and butt cramps, overly emotional at times (gotta love pregnancy hormones!) and light Braxton Hicks contractions, slight pelvic pains

What I’m looking forward to: Getting Anna's car seat and then her bouncy chair.

What I'm not looking forward to: Next week's Iron blood test. Ick!

Here are my belly pics. I think I look HUGE this week lol. But this dress is one of my favorites from my many dance trips when I was younger. Its totally not a maternity dress lol. I still love it!

Memorial Weekend Plans: Operation Spring Cleaning and Declutter House for Anna!

I just wanted to stop by and give you an idea of what we are doing this weekend. :) Here is my extensive list, hoping to accomplish at least five things a day!

Step One:
Sort through Alan's toys, stuffed animals and clothes that are too small.

Step Two:
Clean and bleach all toys in the bathtub.

Step Three:
Expand Alan's play area in the living room to better accommodate for his age.

Step Four:
Take all of Alan's old clothes to second hand store to trade in.

Step Five:
Take my old clothes to Good Will for donations.

Step Six:
Sort through all of our dishes, wash them and deep clean the kitchen.

Step Seven:
Put everything that's packed in boxes back away.

Step Eight:
Clean our bedroom and organize it better.

Step Nine:
Hang up everyone's clothes in the closet and put away the rest.

Step Ten:
Put together Anna's stuff and set up her nursery!

Step Eleven:
Deep vacuum and shampoo carpet.

Step Twelve:
Deep clean bathroom.

Step Thirteen:
Put back up our family pictures and my elephant collection in the living room.

Step Fourteen:
Take remaining laundry to my parent's house to be washed. Start that process.

Step Fifteen:
Take the rest of the recycling to the Recycling Center.

I have quite the cleaning list made, huh? Can you say nesting lol? My mom is freaking out, thinking Anna is gonna come this weekend. She better not, I have to much to do lol! :D

The Pregnancy Post:Week by Week! Week 32

This will be short and sweet, as I am still not feeling so good today. Oddly enough, it has been rainy all week so Alan and I haven't gotten out much, except for today. Mother Nature, please bring back that nice summer weather we had last week! Its almost Memorial weekend!

Here's this week's Pregnancy Post!

How far along: 32 weeks and 4 days

Size of Baby: 4 pounds and 17 inches long or the size of a jicama

Developments of Baby: Baby girl's skin is becoming softer and plumper in preparation for her arrival!

Morning Sickness: It has been horrible all week! Ugh!

Stretch Marks: No new stretch marks to be found so far! :D

What I miss: Not feeling nauseous or sick. I haven't been able to get out of bed pretty much all week! :(

Food Cravings: Dr. Pepper, soft serve ice cream, Salmon, cheeseburgers, cheesecake, pizza, Laffy Taffy, tacos, Cool Ranch Doritios, Starburst, Skittles, Snickers, chocolate, cake lol, chai tea, milkshakes, Salt and Vinegar chips, grilled cheese sandwiches, and definitely lasanga lol!

What I’m looking forward to: This weekend when we get to set up all of Anna's stuff!

What I'm not looking forward to: Next week's Iron blood test. Ick!

I don't have any belly pics this week, but today I went to get my hair cut finally. Miss Mary had gotten me a gift card to my favorite spa and salon at my baby shower, so I used that and got nine inches cut off! Eight of those were donated to Locks for Love, one of my favorite organizations. But I love it, its so much easier and lighter and cooler! Perfect for the hot summer that is already here (well not at all this week lol)! Here is a pic of it:

I also went out to coffee with my good friend Chelsey and her adorable baby that she's foster caring for right now! We had a wonderful time catching up! And she gave me my baby shower gift, a ton of clothes for Anna and a DUAL BREAST PUMP! Wow, thanks so much Chelsey!

My Baby Shower Through Pictures

I have been very sick the past few days and its been hard for me to get out of bed to care for my rambunctious toddler, let alone sit at the computer to write a whole blog post. So I am sorry to say, but don't expect too much from me these past few weeks. I will make a point to at least post my weekly Pregnancy Posts but other than that, I can't gaurentee too much. :( However, I will do my best to maybe write a journal from bed that I can back log into posts on here. :)

But for now, here is my picture filled post about Sunday's baby shower! :D

Sunday was thankfully a beautiful and sunny day for us. We set up the majority of the party for outside, with the last two games set up for inside. Guests started arriving at noon and we hung out waiting for lunch to be ready. After a delicious barbecued lunch courtesy of my wonderful father and mother, we started playing the first two games.

April, Jenelle and I explaining the Belly Game

Alan chilling with his Aunt Ariel

For those of you that don't know what the Belly Game is, I will explain. Everyone gets to guess how big my belly has gotten by measuring out ribbon and whoever is the closest wins. It was a really close game but my friend Kelsie ended up winning! Her ribbon almost fit me exactly, it was like she had already measured me lol! After the Belly Game, we passed around a baby bottle full of M&M's for the Guess How Many Game. Everyone guessed and though my cousin Blake really wanted to win, my other cousin Julie ended up winning with the closest number. But everyone was at least 20 M&M's off lol! Even Julie! :P There were 197 total and Julie's guess was 162. Then it was time to come inside and cool off while I opened my presents. And did we get spoiled! Here are some shots from the gift opening!

I love that Alan was so involved in helping open his sister's presents!

Look at the blankets Aunt Nikki made the kids!

Uncle Chase got us a Moby Wrap!!! :D

I am soooooo excited for tutus!

My two beautiful diaper cakes! Thanks Mary and Korrine!
Once I had made it through the jungle of adorable little girl presents, we started to play our Baby Food Game. Once again for those of you who may not know, the Baby Food Game is where baby food is passed around and you can use all of your senses (yes, that means taste it if you want to) to guess what type of food it is. We had some weird picks, from Raspberry with Oats to Sweet Cream Corn. My cousin's girlfriend Maddie ended up winning that one, getting two out of the four right.

Blake and his adorable girlfriend Maddie

Our last game was the Birth Certificate Game. Now for this game, the winner won't be determined until Anna arrives. I had everyone basically write out her birth certificate with their guesses, including things like her birth date, birth weight and height, and eye color. It was cool to look and see what everyone thought and I think its hilarious that no one thought she was going to come early or anywhere near her due date lol. I had one that said she would be born July 25th... If I go eight days overdue, I might lose it lol. :P

We finished up our little party with cake and ice cream. I was a procrastinator and didn't order Anna's cake right away so because of that and all the graduation parties that were happening that weekend, we had to improvise with our cake. Improvise meaning Anna's cake says "Happy Birthday Anna" lol. But it was a cute cake and it was so yummy, so no one was complaining lol!

We also had everyone sign a shirt and a onesie for Alan and Anna to wear for their first meeting. Alan's says "Best Big Brother... Ever!" and Anna's says "Our Special Little Girl". They turned out so cute too! I love them and can't wait for my kiddos to wear them! :D

I feel so blessed by everyone who came, they completely spoiled Anna! After sorting through all the presents (and that's not even counting the diaper cakes, I haven't touched them yet lol) Anna made it out like a bandit! She got her bassinet, her swing, her Moby Wrap, her Boppy pillow, her Tummy Time Center, 12 receiving blankets, 5 fuzzy blankets, 4 towels and 4 washcloths, 4 burp cloths, 9 bottles for when I have to go back to work, all of her bathing soaps she needs, diapers, an adorable pair of sandals and don't forget the endless amounts of clothes from NB to 18 months! And I am still getting texts from people telling me that they have my gift for me lol. Oh my! :D Thank you so much everyone! We are so grateful for all of you!

All of the clothing stuff she got!

Just a Quick Update...

Been really busy the past few days preparing for the baby shower on Sunday, so I don't have much to post. Sorry! It has been rainy the past two days as well, so Alan and I haven't done too much of anything. Tonight, my sister Natalie got into town for my shower. Yay! :D Alan and I have missed her a lot!

I want to thank everyone who reads my blog, as of yesterday I am at 24,000 page views. Yes! Thanks for reading, you guys are what keeps this blog alive and thriving! :D I also did my 300th post the other day, wow two blog milestones in one week! Awesome man!

Pretty much the only other thing that has happened is that yesterday we received a letter from Alan's beloved pediatrician, stating that she was taking the next three years off to study endocrinology and would not be able to be our pediatrician anymore. I am now really upset and stressed because I have to find Alan and Anna a new pediatrician before the end of June. And I feel like we got so lucky finding that pediatrician, I am worried we won't be that lucky this time around. So now I have to start researching pediatricians and then move to the interviewing process, something I would have already liked to have done at this point. *Sighs* Oh well, if its to further her education, I can only be happy for her.

Just wanted to drop in and also say there will be no Five Question Friday this week. Mama M said something creepy kept them up late last night, but she will post about it later tonight or tomorrow. To read more about it, go here.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I know we will. :) I can't wait for my baby shower! Tune in on Monday to see how it went!

The Pregnancy Post: Week by Week! Week 31 *With Update on Midwife Appointment*

Only nine more weeks left until she's here and we are officially in the hot part of the pregnancy. Ugh, I have just been dying lately. Its been a balmy 80 degrees out all week and it seems like no matter what I do to cool down, it doesn't work lol. I just become hot and sweaty again in two minutes. Oh well lol. :P My baby shower is Sunday and all this week we are scrambling to get everything ready for it. We are expecting around fifty people to show up. Lon is looking into buying us a Jeep Cherokee, he brought it home last night as a surprise for me. I got to use it all day today running errands and let me tell you, even though it is way bigger than I am used to and really LOUD, I think it is one of the safest vehicles we have ever owned. The Cadillac is the only thing that comes close. Sooooo, who knows if we will get it or not!!! But I like it lol! :D I also had my midwife appointment today, I will post more about that afterwards.

But for now, here's this week's Pregnancy Post! Enjoy!

How far along: 31 weeks and 3 days

Size of Baby: 3 pounds 8 ounces and 17 inches long or the size of a

Developments of Baby: New to this week, baby girl can turn her head from side to side. Her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin. Her lungs continue to develop, soon they will be fully developed and she could potentially survive out to the womb. But not yet! :)

Weight Gain: Back up to ten pounds this week! Yes!

Belly Button In or Out: Still in but its getting closer and closer to popping out everyday. Ewwww lol! Lon told me he was going to push it in if it popped out lol. I told him I would probably hit him if he did, its already super sore! :P

Maternity Clothes: Hardly any this time around still. Just work pants and jeans really. I think I own two pairs of maternity pants, one pair of shorts and three maternity shirts. Everything else is my regular clothing!

Morning Sickness: None today but it has been off and on all week. Hoping that it will stop soon as Anna starts to drop more.

Stretch Marks: No new stretch marks to be found so far! :D

Labor Signs: Anna is really low and I have slight pelvic stretching pains. She is also still head down, which is awesome. And I am still getting those lovely Braxton Hicks contractions. Oh joy lol!

Gender: A Girl :D

Movement: Anna is really into fighting stuff this week. If anything touches my belly, she will punch or kick at it, even if she was just asleep moments ago lol. Its crazy!

Sleep: I have been sleeping like a baby this week, well when I actually get to sleep. I still am up from 3 to about 6 every morning and then sleep again til about 9.

Best Moment This Week: Anna fighting the heart monitor at the midwives this week. She literally bounced it off of my belly!

What I miss: Not being so hot all the time. I feel like my husband, the furnace again! Said that last time when I was pregnant with Alan too! He just makes hot children lol! :P

Food Cravings: Dr. Pepper, Salmon, cheeseburgers, cheesecake, pizza, Laffy Taffy, tacos, Cool Ranch Doritios, Starburst, Skittles, Snickers, chocolate, cake lol, chai tea, milkshakes, Salt and Vinegar chips, grilled cheese sandwiches, and definitely lasanga lol!

What I’m looking forward to: Seeing all of my loved ones at my baby shower this Sunday. Even Aunt Natalie will be in town! Yes!

What I'm not looking forward to: Next week's Iron blood test. Ick!

I had my midwife appointment today and I am happy to say that it went a lot better than the last one. I gained a pound this time around, bringing me back to my original ten pounds I have gained. The midwife I was scheduled with today was Pamela and she was quite pleased with my accomplishment, even though it was so minor. She asked me about my diet the last two weeks and I told her about how I had been obsessing over gaining weight. She told me not to get discouraged and keep working on it, because technically I am almost at that point were I should be gaining a pound a week. Then she listened to Anna's heart beat, which was a healthy 140 beats per minute. Anna didn't like her listening in, so she kneed the monitor real hard and bounced up Pamela's hand lol! Pamela said she had never had a baby do that before lol. Too funny! Anna is still head down and Pamela said that they would check for dilation until after the 36th week but if I was dilated at all, it was not a concern as of now. And I am measuring correctly again this week, right at 31 weeks like I should be. Then she told me about my Iron blood test next appointment, ugh. But everything else looked great! Yay! No stressing this week (hopefully)!

Here are my belly pics. Like how I am wearing the same outfit as last week? Yeah totally didn't do that on purpose lol.

31 weeks and 3 days

Mother's Day 2012 and Jessica's Wedding Day

This weekend was quite busy for us. Saturday I worked all day and then that night Alan and I went over to my parent's house to have a barbecue. It was a gorgeous 70 degree night, so we all sat out in the backyard and watched Alan and Uncle Kalvin play while Grandpa Kevin grilled burgers and bratwurst. Then we started a fire in their outdoor fireplace and watched the flames while we had dinner. Alan thought the "campfire" was super cool lol, he just stared at it while he ate. :) Once it was completely dark out (not until like nine lol) we decided it was time to head home. Alan needed a shower for the wedding the next day and I was exhausted beyond belief lol. But it was a nice start to my Mother's Day.

As I stated yesterday, I told Lon that I didn't want him to spend any money on me this Mother's Day because I felt that I didn't need materials to celebrate my motherhood. He told me that he felt I deserved more, so I told him to give me three gifts. The three simple gifts I asked of him: For him to take out the garbage lol (I know, lame gift but I hate taking out garbage, especially now), for him to not work at all that day (Yes, I actually had to make this be a gift so he wouldn't work lol), and to go to Jessica's wedding with me (Lon hates weddings, so this was a must too). He gladly agreed to these lol.

Mother's Day morning, Lon let me sleep in. We were really hoping I wouldn't have morning sickness that day, but I had already woken up between four and six to get sick. So the sleeping in really only replaced the lost hours lol, but I was still grateful. He then made Alan and I breakfast burritos for breakfast, they were pretty good! He also gave my the card that Alan and him had made me, which almost made me cry lol! We hung out and watched a few movies before having to get ready for Jessica's wedding. I am so upset that I didn't get a family picture of us dressed in our wedding attire, we all matched and looked so nice! I will have to look and see if her photographer got any shots of us and post them up here lol.

Jessica and Wade's wedding was at our town's train depot, the same place where Alan and I had gone for Easter earlier this year. Upon entry, Alan assumed that we were going to go play in the bouncy house (there was one set up for Easter right where Jessica's alter was lol) and was somewhat upset that there was no bouncy house. We were a few minutes late and missed the outside procession, but apparently Jessica and Wade came in her pink Studebaker with the bridesmaids and groomsmen followed all on Harleys. I was somewhat disappointed we missed that, Alan would have freaked out lol!

The wedding was beautiful. Their colors were black and blue, with the bridesmaids in black dresses and their beautiful blue flowers in their hair and their bouquets. Alan loved seeing his BFF Korbin and Jessica's niece ride down the aisle in a wagon, he kept shouting and waving lol. Thank goodness this was a family friendly wedding and he wasn't the only kid yelling. :P Jessica, of course, looked absolutely stunningly gorgeous in her wedding gown, it had lace detail and I loved her cathedral length veil! So traditional and so beautiful! :) They had a traditional Catholic wedding and they did the traditional sand pouring ritual. I thought it was a beautiful service and that you could just see the love pouring from the two of them. Once the service was over, we waited congratulate the bride and groom and see the rest of the family before dropping Alan off at my parent's for the reception.

The reception was at a bar, The Wild West Saloon, and even though children were invited, Lon and I didn't want to spend our whole time chasing our wild man. So my Mother's Day gift from my mom to me was babysitting Alan for us so we could go on a date. We arrived at the saloon just as Jessica and Wade were finishing up taking their wedding pictures, so we hopped in the food line and ate real quick before the festivities began. First, the wedding party did their toasts. We sat near my friend Erica (Jessica's sister) for these. Lon with his rum and coke, me with my water lol. Admittedly, I got a little emotional during the toasts and started tearing up lol. But I survived without too much embarrassment. :) Then came the cake cutting. I remember Jessica telling me earlier that week at work that she really hoped Wade didn't cover her dress in cake, and needless to say, he got some cake on her lol. They totally shoved it into each others faces lol! Oh well!

Their cake was to die for! They had chocolate and red velvet slices, so Lon took a red velvet and I took a chocolate. And we shared lol! :P It was so yummy though! I even spoiled myself and got a Dr. Pepper (like the ONLY thing I have been craving lately, but the caffeine is often too much for me) which made the cake even better in my personal pregnant opinion lol. After cake, we headed over to the dance floor to watch the dancing activities. I had originally really wanted to spend the night dancing with Lon but by the time we had gotten to Jessica and Wade's first dance, I was ready to go home and crawl into bed lol. We watched their first dance and then watched while they did the Couple Dollar Dance, but then we ended up leaving. Perfect timing too because as we were getting into our car, my mom called me and told me that Alan was ready for us to come get him. He had covered himself in dirt while outside with Grandpa Kevin and was in desperate need of another shower lol.

I do have to say though, that I had a great Mother's Day and a wonderful time at Jessica and Wade's wedding. Congratulations again guys, we wish you nothing but endless years of love and happiness. :) Now, get pregnant Jessica so Alan and Anna can have some more friends lol! :P Love you guys.
