Hoppy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! How was yours? The kids went on two egg hunts and saw a whole bunch of our family members. It was great! Be prepared for a bit of a photo dump, I took so many photos from this weekend lol. Saturday morning after Alan's last soccer game, my mom took the kids to an Easter egg hunt. I had to work, so I was so happy she took the kids too. Both Alan and Anna did their own egg hunts for their age group. Alan didn't get too many eggs actually but Anna found quite a few. She was so nice and shared with him though! Alan sliding down the inflatable slide After the egg hunts, Alan and Anna played a few games and went on the inflatable things before leaving for lunch. Alan went on the slide a few times and Anna played in the bouncy house. She was silly though and would only sit, said my mom. Apparently she wanted other kids to bounce her lol. What a goof ball! :) They all had a great time though. Anna and Uncle Kalvin after their Easter egg hu...

The kids and I have had quite the Easter filled week this past week. Alan's preschool had their Easter party and Easter egg hunt on Tuesday. And We paid Mister E.B. a visit on Wednesday. Easter is obviously this Sunday but we had to have some celebrating during the week too! Happy spring and hoppy Easter! Alan's preschool class had their Easter party this Tuesday. As per usual, Miss Anna and I stayed for the beginning half of the party. They all started out making little Easter egg craft with chickens inside. Even Anna made one! Hers was mostly purple and pink, but it was cute! She enjoyed coloring and creating with her brother and his classmates. I bet she cannot wait to go to preschool herself! :) Oh how the second child always develops faster then the first! Silly children! The kids, working on their crafts After making their eggs, everyone sat down to listen to Miss Davis read an Easter bunny story. Anna obviously HAD to do what all the big kids were doing, especial...

Month in Review: March 2013

Okay I have to be honest with you all for a moment, even though my phone and all its apps are the total coolest... There are still a few things I have yet to figure out how to do lol. Like a linked post. Yep, have no idea how to do one on my phone yet. Oh well, that only means my phone is obsolete like once a month right? :P Anyways, happy Wednesday everyone. Not too much is going on here today, I teach dance tonight and we recently added a second dance to our recital for my class. I am very excited!  I will try to get in a What I'm Loving Wednesday post out sometime later, so keep an eye out for that. But for now, let's go over what happened to the Andersen family this past month. Uncle Cameron turned 29 in the beginning of March, he was of course still in Washington for school though so we were unable to celebrate with him. We still sent him a bunch of texts and pictures for his birthday, which he loved. One of Alan and Anna's friends celebrated his first birthday thi...

Easter 2013

Image
How was your family's Easter this year? Ours was quite awesome. :) We went to a community egg hunt on Saturday and then saw family all Sunday. Plus today, we will be having our Second Easter with my family because they were out of town seeing Aunt Natalie and Uncle Jake. The kids are excited lol! Saturday, I braved the cold and took the kids to one of our community egg hunts run by the churches. It was COOOOOOOOLD And windy, which only made it feel colder. I hate the wind because of that! It seemed even busier than last year and this was Alan's first year of hunting alone, so Alan only found six eggs. But he didn't mind one bit! He wanted to go on the big inflatable slides and stuff they had. Alan went on each one at least once, except for the bouncy houses. He was not very into them but probably only because it was so DARN busy lol. We also dyed eggs by ourselves for the first time. We usually dye eggs with my family but since we did it alone, I had to improvise some...

Spring Came Back to Us!

Image
At least for now lol. :) Not too much has been happening in our neck of the woods, Alan has been excelling again at potty training and Anna wants to stand by herself. We have been staying home and enjoying the nice weather outside. Yesterday we went out maybe three times! It was so beautiful out! Alan is convinced that the family of bunnies that we share our yard with is the Easter Bunnie's family so he has been harrassing the poor guys a lot more lately lol. I will have to make a point to pick them up some goodies at the store next time to make it up to them. We went to a playdate at my friend Kelsie's house today. Chelsea came with her two girls also. We all played outside with the kids, even though it looked like it might rain. We got lucky and it didn't though, so we were able to sit with the babies and talk some. Kelsie's son Karter is already so big! :) He is only a month old and is already 10 pounds! What a cutie! Great Grandma Joyce and Great Grandpa Floyd cam...

The girls I work with will be happy lol! :) Grandpa Kevin, Aunt April and Uncle .Kalvin will be meeting Aunt Natalie and Uncle Jake to visit some of our family over Easter, so it will just our family and my mom for Easter. Hopefully we can get the Great Grandparents to come over too! Here is this week's What I'm Loving Wednesday! Enjoy! I'm loving... that Easter is on Sunday! That means Easter Bunny visits and egg dying and egg hunts and treats and family and laughter and love! Plus its Anna's first Easter. Soooooooo excited! I'm loving... how into Easter Alan is this year. Yesterday we saw one of the bunnies who we share our yard with, and Alan legitmetly thought it was the Easter Bunny. We followed that bunny ar...

Five Question Friday!! March 8, 2013

Image
Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone has a great weekend! Do you like the new look of the blog???? I figured that I would change the background to be more... srpingy lol, since it is March now. Personally, I think the flowers are sooooooo pretty! I love the new look! :) Its been a few weeks since I have been able to join in with the FQF blog hop. Oh how I have missed it! Without further ado, here is this week's Five Question Friday! Does your family coordinate clothing for church on holidays like Easter? I coordinate my family on holidays and for pictures, but only to a point. I usually give the boys a color group (red, green, white or yellow, blue, green, purple) and they can wear anything in those colors. I usually will have them coordinate jeans though. I like us to either all wear jeans or all wear something different. And I like to wear a dress or skirt if Anna does. Now that I have typed it all out, it sounds a little OCD lol. :P But I like for us ...

Month in Review: April 2012

We had a somewhat busy month in April, with all the birthdays and anniversaries and the outdoor events. All in all, it was a good month for us. Here are some things that happened to us this month: The month started out with us celebrating two good school friends of Alan's birthdays. Easton and Treyton, the two brothers, invited us to their fun birthday party at Kid's Klubhouse. We had a blast! Then we celebrated Aunt April's thirteenth birthday with sunset baseball and an ice cream cake. That Sunday was also Easter, so Alan and I went on several Easter egg hunts and then spent the day with our family and loved ones. April 23 was also Lon and I's one year wedding anniversary. I can't believe its already been a whole year! Then we finished off the month celebrating Earth Day with my family and Arbor Day with a Tree Scavenger Hunt. What a month full of holidays and birthdays! We were kinda busy this month with all the things we had to do. I participated in t...

Our Easter Sunday 2012

Image
Easter was fantastic this year! Alan, Lon and I had such a wonderful time with our beloved family. What a great way to celebrate love and rebirth. :) Oddly different from Christmas morning, Alan let us sleep in Easter morning. He didn't wake up to do his first Easter egg hunt until about ten! Which was just AWESOME because we had spent that night up until one or two just preparing the house for the hunt lol. :) We had filled forty eggs for him total, twelve with Cars 2 Squinkies and the remaining with various candies. We had also filled his basket with a Fireman Sam DVD, a giggler toy, a Star Wars light saber candy and a M&M sucker. We hid the eggs starting in his bedroom and making their way to the living room. Alan did a great job finding all of his eggs! Lon and I just followed him, snapping pictures, while he found egg after egg. Even the ones we actually tried to hide from him lol! He is a regular egg hunting champ! :) He kept stopping and opening each egg after he f...

Easter Egg Hunt Saturday!!

Image
Friday, we took everyone to get Easter Bunny pictures before Aunt Natalie and Jake left to head back home. I was nervous about Alan being horrified of the bunny because he had never taken pictures with him, or even seen him. But he did fantastic! Easter family pic 2012 Our Easter boys after seeing the Bunny Then Friday night, we all got together to dye Easter eggs. Alan, Uncle Kalvin and Aunt April each got to dye nine eggs, except one of Alan's broke so we headed home with only eight. But Alan did a great job slowly setting the eggs into the dye and making sure not to splash it everywhere, which I was endlessly grateful for as it was vinegar mostly lol. The eggs turned out vibrant and beautiful and Alan really enjoyed dying them almost all by himself. Our finished Easter eggs. :) Yesterday Alan and I went to two different Easter egg hunts with Grandma Melanie, Aunt April and Uncle Kalvin. We were supposed to meet up with Kelsie and Kelton but they had to switch plan...
